A Conviction, Carried Forward
From the Founder
On thirty-five years in education and the small idea that became SABR.
For over thirty-five years, I had the privilege of serving as a teacher and headmistress, touching the lives of thousands of students. Through those years, I came to believe deeply that every person carries a unique talent — one that, when recognised and nurtured, leads to meaningful contribution.
This conviction inspired the SABR Foundation as a non-profit effort: to bring the talents of our younger generation into the world's view. The South Asia Book of Records exists for one purpose — to celebrate genuine human achievement, offer authentic certification, and place South Asian excellence on a global platform.
True greatness often begins with a quiet self-discovery. May we continue to support talent, and overcome the barriers that hide it — together, for the benefit of all.

How long does the process take?
Your application is reviewed within 7 working days. After approval you receive the official rules, attempt at your own pace, and certification follows successful verification of your evidence.
What evidence do I need to provide?

What do record holders receive?

Discipline, turned to spectacle
Four gatherings that turned discipline into spectacle — canvases coloured at scale, silambam in unison, punches counted by the thousand, and a school that became a stage.
Beyond individual records, 2025 saw the foundation certify achievements at scale — mass participation events where entire schools and communities set records together. These are the gatherings of our inaugural year.

Group Coloring — A Canvas for Valluvar
6 × 6 feet, hundreds of hands, one portrait
Hundreds of school students gathered to colour a single 6×6 foot canvas bearing the likeness of Thiruvalluvar — the Tamil poet-philosopher whose Thirukkural still threads through the moral grammar of the region. Each child contributed a fragment; the portrait emerged not from any single brushstroke but from the collective rhythm of the room.

Event 02
100 Minutes of Silambam — Unbroken
Maximum participants under 13 performing continuously
Silambam, the Tamil martial art of the staff, is normally taught in small, careful groups. This event compressed that discipline into spectacle: the maximum number of participants under thirteen years of age, all performing alangara silambam continuously for 100 minutes — eyes and legs tied. A reminder that the oldest forms still find young bodies willing to carry them.

3,000 Punches in 30 Minutes
Twenty-two students. One sustained minute of will, repeated thirty times.
Held at Tharkappugalai Pasil School in Kovilpatti, the event saw twenty-two students collectively complete 3,000 punches in just thirty minutes. The youngest participant — a five-year-old girl — recorded 1,500 of those punches in 10 minutes and 22 seconds, with hands kept in self-defence position throughout. The certificate was conferred on stage by MLA Raja Jeevallars.

Acharya School × WOW Academy
A campus that became a stage for certification at scale
Acharya World Class Education hosted the South Asia Book of Records in partnership with WOW Academy — a Center for Holistic Excellence — for a day of recognition at scale. Hundreds of children received individual certificates and medals across multiple disciplines: silambam, mallakhamb, chess, and gymnastic feats performed on open grounds. Brand Ambassador L. Rajkumar and brand representative D. Krishna were felicitated on stage.

Mr. S. Kishore Katariya, Managing Director of Mahalaxmi Gold and Diamond Merchants, achieved a world-first with “108 Divine MahaVel” — the creation of 108 unique, research-designed Vels of Lord Muruga, rendered in full in both gold and silver, and presented as a single unified cultural offering at a grand launch before the press in Chennai.
The golden Vels were unveiled by Dr. Isari K. Ganesh, Founder & Chancellor of Vels University; the silver set by Mr. K. T. Venkatesan and Mr. K. T. Srinivasa Raja, Managing Directors of A2B (Adyar Ananda Bhavan); and the MahaVel emblem by Mr. Jayanthilal Sallani, President of the Jewellers & Diamond Traders Association — with Mr. T. S. Jawahar, I.A.S. (Retd.), former Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Tamil Nadu, gracing the occasion.
Before the launch, the complete collection was taken to the world-renowned Batu Caves Sri Subramaniar Temple, Malaysia (29 Dec 2025) for blessings. Each Vel is individually designed upon spiritual research — with temple blessings, sacred inscriptions, gemstones, and zodiac significances — the entire collection founded on the sacred number 108, and opened for public darshan from 1 February 2026.
